A project in RankYak represents a website. Each project has its own keywords, articles, content plan, integrations, and settings.
If you manage multiple websites, you can create multiple projects, all under the same organization and subscription.
š§© How projects work
Every project includes:
Its own keyword research
Its own daily articles
Its own content calendar
Its own integrations
Its own settings and details
Projects are isolated from each other so each website gets a fully customized SEO strategy.
š³ Billing for projects
All projects within the same organization share one subscription. You are billed only for active projects.
Activate a project ā It is added to your subscription
Deactivate a project ā Billing stops at the end of the cycle
Reactivate later ā RankYak continues where it left off
This makes it easy to pause projects you're not working on and only pay for what you're using.
āļø Editing project information
You can update your project details at any time. RankYak uses this information to better tailor your articles and SEO strategy. To edit project details:
Go to your project
Open Settings ā Project
Under Project information, click Edit
Here you can update:
Your website name
Your project description (add extra details about your business, this is used to generate more accurate articles)
Your domain
Only change this if your website has moved to a new domain
Updating these details helps RankYak write more relevant and personalized content.
ā Deleting a project
On the same Settings ā Project page, you can choose to delete the project. Deleting a project will:
Remove it from your subscription
Delete all its data inside RankYak
Stop all article generation and integrations
This action cannot be undone, but articles already published on your website will remain online.
ā Creating a new project
To add another website:
Click your current project name in the top-left
Select Add project
Follow the setup flow
You can create as many projects as you need, each one will be added to your subscription only when activated.
āø Deactivating (pausing) a project
If you want to deactivate/pause a project:
Open the project
Go to Settings ā Billing
Click Deactivate project
This will:
Stop future billing
Stop article generation
Disable auto-publishing and backlinks
Take effect at the end of the current billing cycle
You can reactivate the project anytime in the future, and RankYak will pick up right where it left off.
